人本·和谐
--成都市玉林中学办学思想阐释

绪 论
成都市玉林中学之"玉林"蕴含"琢玉成器,育才成林"的文化内涵。琢,雕刻玉石,使成器物。
"琢玉成器"必须因"玉"而琢,才能成器,成大器。要实现"琢玉成器"的追求,必须尊重"玉",从"玉"出发,以"玉"为本,让"玉"的潜质充分发挥出来。面对活生生的师生的生命个体,我们选择了"人本"。
玉林人心中的"和谐"首先是指师生的和谐发展,不和谐,难以"琢玉成器",难以"育才成林";只有和谐,单个的木才能成林,乃至成森林。为了"琢玉成器,育才成林" ,我们选择了"和谐"。
"人本·和谐"的办学思想的核心是尊重人、理解人、关心人、发展人,强调遵循科学的发展规律,遵循教育教学规律,坚持办学的科学性、人文性,注重教育教学的"和谐"。
"人本"是前提和基础,强调把人的发展作为最高价值取向。"和谐"是条件和过程,也是在法规、制度基础上的一种文化约束和引领。"和"是中国哲学的最高境界。"天地运行,和谐为大" 、"万物皆规律,依法乃和谐"。
"人本·和谐"这一办学思想既强调传承性、现实性,又富于前瞻性。她是成都市玉林中学过去的成功的经验结晶;她是成都市玉林中学今天思维的基本出发点;她是成都市玉林中学未来发展的支点和杠杆。

人 本
人是Man,即社会关系中的人。
"以人为本,本理则国固"(管子)、"仁者爱人"(孔子)、"民为贵"(孟子)、"天人合一"(老子)……古圣先贤的人本思想我们耳熟能详。
"人是一切社会关系的总和"、"人的根本就是人本身"、"人的自由、全面发展"……马克思主义对人本思想作了根本界定和有力说明,越来越显示其重大的现实意义和深远的历史意义。
人本是社会发展的根本出发点。它强调社会发展要尊重人、理解人、关心人,强调对人作用和价值的重视与肯定,以及人与自然,人与社会的协调发展,不断满足人的合理需求,促进人的全面发展。
人本教育强调从人的发展规律出发,突出在学校发展中人的地位和作用。将满足人的合理需求,促进人的全面发展作为学校发展的出发点。
人本教育首先是指教育教学过程的"人本"思想,即教师把学生当成有潜力、有个性、并能主动创造的动态生存者的生命;在教育教学实践中顺应学生的自然成长发展,尊重学生身心的发展规律,以人的方式去教育人,以学生的方式去理解学生,以学生的方式去教育学生,把学生的一切还给学生。其次是学校管理过程中的"人本"思想,在遵守规则与法制的前提下,遵循教师的成才与培养规律,尊重教师在工作中的体验与感受,走进教师的心灵,满足教师的合理需要,在深层次上激活教师自主发展和主动创造的内在动力。
(一)学校人本教育的三个层面
1、实践层面
使学校的师生员工的一切活动始终围绕人性的生存本质,发展本质,自由本质以及人的自由全面发展而进行,运用现代教育理论和高新的科技,在满足人们基本生存需要和人与自然、人与社会和谐统一的基础上努力实现人的发展。让师生员工的生存和教育教学活动成为发自人性深层的自由自觉的活动,从而实现人性的和谐统一的提升。
2、思想文化层面
学校将科学、哲学、艺术等一系列精神、理论活动渗透于教育教学的全过程之中,使师生员工获得人的存在形态和人的丰富内涵,进而使制度文化、合作文化、责任荣誉感文化、角色定位文化等管理文化和人文文化内化?quot;良好的行为习惯,强烈的公德意识,浓厚的爱国情感,得体的待人礼节"……从而形成师生的健全人格。
3、发展层面
学校充分发展师生员工作为自然物质性,社会历史性和精神意识性三位一体的,完整而又现实的人的全部意识和实践能力。最大限度地发掘作为人之本质的社会历史性和精神意识性的功能,实现和展示自我的全面性、丰富性和自由自觉性,从而尽可能地实现自我的内部和谐和人性的升华,"做一个文明的玉林人,做一个多才多艺的玉林人,做一个奋进创新的玉林?quot;。
人是教育的中心,更是学校发展的中心。"十年树木,百年树人","树人"一是树学生,二是树老师,三是树管理者。促进学生的发展是学校教育的根本职责。学生要发展,又必须依托一支稳定的、高水平的﹑不断进步的教师队伍和教育教学管理队伍。
(二)"人本"教育的四层含义
1、尊重人
尊重人是法治社会中的文明人的基本品质,相互尊重才能创造和谐的氛围,形成最大的合力。这里的尊重人,包括学生与学生间的彼此尊重;教师与学生间的彼此尊重;教师与教师间的彼此尊重;家长与教师间的彼此尊重;管理者与师生、家长间的彼此尊重;学校与社区间的彼此尊重等。
2、理解人
理解人是在相互尊重的基础上,了解人并关注人的心理和行为,理解人是关心人、发展人的前提条件,只有真正理解了人的心理和行为,才可能真正做到关心人和发展人。包括教师理解学生,对学生生理、心理、认识规律的客观把握,并遵循其规律,强化教育教学的有效性。遵循师生身心发展规律,就是要充分熟悉不同年龄、不同时代的师生的身心特点,了解不同师生在相同阶段的身心差异,以科学的发展观, 促进师生的全面发展、和谐发展、自由发展、充分发展和持续发展。关注时代发展带给师生身心发展的新变化。学校理解社会需求,对社会需求的人才发展规律能客观把握,遵循人才需求规律,适时调整教育教学策略,多元发展,个性发展,集团化发展,使学校成为学生健康成长的乐园,练翅飞翔的蓝天,走向未来岗位的实习平台。学校力求满足教师的工作和职业生活等方面的合理需求。
3、关心人
指把别人放在心上,重视并爱护人。关心人具有明显的主动性,它是在理解人的基础上发自内心的行为体现。包括整合教育资源,改善办学条件。关心学生的成长,主动解决学生学习和生活中的疑虑和困难,积极有效地激发学生的内在动力,遵循学生智能发展规律,准确把握能力发展的阶段性、层次性,深入研究建构和谐的知识结构和能力体系的策略,注重学生发展过程中各成人成才要素之间的整合,因材施教,与时俱进,制定科学合理的教育教学方案,增强教育教学过程的实效性。对不同志趣、特长、专业发展的教师,既要有科学的规范,又要有民主的包容及工作生活条件的适度保障,关心教师疾苦,为教师搭建成长的舞台,激发教师的潜能,坚持客观公正地评价教师,扬长避短地把教师安排到合适的岗位,使教师尽可能地实现自我的内部和谐和人性的升华,使教师身正、艺高。
4、发展人
发展才是硬道理。"玉"成了"器"是发展,"才"成了"林"是发展。"人本·和谐"的办学思想是为了更好的促进师生的科学发展和学校的科学发展。发展主要包括五个方面:一是力求促进师生所蕴含的全部发展可能性或潜能的全面发展;二是力求促进师生有机整合的和谐发展;三是力求促进师生在现实社会所能提供的发展条件范围内自由地发展;四是力求促进师生在社会给予的空间和条件下充分发展;五是力求促进师生对未来保持高度适应性的开放的持续发展。
发展人包含四个方面的发展:学生发展、教师发展、管理者发展、学校发展。
学生发展
学生发展指学校以"服务于社会,服务于学生"为办学宗旨,以"志向高远,素质全面,基础扎实,特长明?quot;作为育人目标,规范并内化"学生对人讲礼貌、对己讲仪表 、学习讲勤奋、社会讲公德、回家讲孝顺"的文明行为,在育人过程中注重五个统一:人品与学品的统一、知识与能力的统一、身体健康与心理健康的统一、智力因素与非智力因素的统一、全面提高与彰显个性的统一;"以学生发展为关注焦点"。
16年来,玉林中学从一所小区配套学校,发展成今天的"玉林集团",培养了一批又一批合格的毕业生,也培养了不少的优秀人才。如聋哑学生王星星,初中时获四川省校园科学故事征文大奖赛二等奖,成都市英语竞赛三等奖。高中毕业考入电子科大,现留学美国。在全国特殊教育研讨会上,专家们以他的实例,阐述?quot;残疾人和正常人一起学习效果更好"的著名论点;翟牮,1998年,四川省理科状元;张晶,2000年,14岁考入四川大学生物工程系,18岁,已留学英国诺丁汉大学读博士;顾俊杰,2008年奥运之星;周怡,国家女垒主力队员,世锦赛亚军,省政府三等功获得者,2008奥运之星;田立,全国十佳优秀警察;郭洁,2004年考入北京大学;李超然,艺术之星,屡获拉丁舞、民族舞的省、市冠军,乃至全国大奖;赵峥,书法之星,蓉城十佳。女子垒球八次蝉联省冠,第四届全国城运会冠军;女子射击队,省10米气步枪团体总分第一名;健美操队,两组全国一等奖、一个二等奖;跆拳道队,省、市一等奖,五金三银七铜。培养了德国羽毛球队队员徐怀文,省级专业队队员8名。
教师发展
教师发展主要指教师的专业化发展,包括师德建设、专业技能、课程开发、现代教育技术的运用等方面。
学校以"整合教育资源,立足校本开发,关注人本发展,最大程度地激发玉林人的主动性和创造性"为治校理念,以"艰苦奋斗,勤恳奉献,科学严谨,共创一流"为玉林精神。在成都市玉林中学16年的发展过程中,在职教师从35人到492人,迅速壮大,汇聚了来自四面八方的教师,许多人来自百年名校、千年老校,教师们在融合、升华、提炼中形成了多元智能聚合的优势,多元期望聚合的优势,多元文化聚合的优势,多元管理策略聚合的优势。学校连续组织教师参加北师大、西师大等研修班学习,有 202人已结业。学校现有博士 11 人,硕士7人。学校制定《教师发展大纲》,制定工作流程,强化教师校本培训,实施指导教师制,给教职工发购书卡,建立教师外出考察学习汇报制度,设立专家工作室,开展"学术沙龙""青年教师成长日""教科月" 等活动。充分发挥玉林文化聚合和积淀的内涵和意识感化力,形成"教师的人格是进行教育的基石"的共识,铸师魂,凝师德,展师长,形成一支"树三心"(进取心、责任心、服务心)?quot;强三力"(集合力、执行力、创造力)的教师团队,也成熟了一大批优秀教师,如:特级教师3人,特级教师后备人选2人,全国优秀教师2人,四川省优秀教师4人,市、区学科带头人44人,师德标兵11人,优秀校长5人,成都市优秀青年教师19人,成都市优秀教师11人,其他荣誉称号获得者65人。李娟、古新宇、周旋律、周梅、罗亚和等教师赛课分别获全国特等奖、一二等奖和省、市一等奖。课题26个,已结题5个。国家级课题5个,省级课题2个,市级课题5个,区级课题14个。
管理者的发展
管理者的发展指管理者加强学习,不断提高自身修养,提高政策理论水平和管理服务能力,求实求新,以适应现代教育的要求。
学校领导班子达成共识:必须加强学习,不断提高自身修养,以适应现代教育的要求。阅读了《领导力》、《执行力》等书籍,分别参加教育部、四川省、成都市、全国七城市校长培训班、提高班学习,提高政策理论水平和管理服务能力。先后有七名校级干部和中层干部到欧美发达国家考察教育发展。先后有多名校长、书记、中层干部分别被评为市、区优秀校长,优秀党务工作者,优秀共产党员,学科带头人,特级教师后备人选,全国优秀教师等。
每个干部都有自己施展才华的一方舞台,学校也为干部提供走出校门再学习的机会。近两年来,学校多次派干部外出学习。2003年先后派出多名干部到北京、上海、广州、深圳、西安、天津、桂林等地参加培训,2004年9月、10月份先后派德育、教务、办公室干部赴重庆、上海,到名校挂职学习。
学校发展
学校发展指学校的声望等级,学生和教师的成果以及学生和教师天赋的发展或增值,得到资助等方面得到提高。
学校以"团结、奋进、求实、创新"为校训,确定了"集团化办学,国际化交流,科学化管理"的发展思路和"'人本·和谐'的办学思想引领下,面向世界,并与国际接轨的师生互动发展的学校"的发展目标。"顺天时,适地利,兴人?quot;,与时俱进,不断创新。公开招聘校长,中层干部竞聘上岗;校区主管副校长责任制,部门长官负责制;能级管理体系,国际质量管理体系,管理工作流程体系……健全的管理制度,良好的运行机制,求真务实的工作作风,玉林中学的管理者们在既是教师又是管理者的双重角色中"忙而不乱,忙而有序"。"玉林集团"创出了"教育资源快速积累,玉林品牌有效辐射"的"玉林奇迹"。
1988年成都玉林中学在玉林小区的一片水田中创建起来,一校一区;
1998年成都玉林中学"跳出围墙求发展",在芳草校区建起了高中部,一校两区。学生、教师的成果屡创新高,令人瞩目。
1999年成都玉林中学划归高新技术开发区;
2000年成都玉林中学被命名为四川省重点中学;
2001年成都玉林中学ISO国际质量管理体系认证成功;
2002年成都玉林中学被命名为四川省示范性普通高中;
2003年成都玉林中学在肖家河建立的西区投入使用,一校三区五点,连续被命名为四川省现代教育技术示范校、四川省实验教学示范校、成都市绿色学校、四川省传统体育项目先进学校。
2004年高新区党工委、管委会决策合校,一校四区六点。学生9000多人,学校占地215亩,建筑面积9万多平方米。
机遇与挑战并存,只有与时俱进才能更好地发展,也只有发展了才称得上真正的与时俱进。
学校制定了《学校发展大纲》、《教师发展大纲》,使学校各级各类人员的发展有章可循,使办学思想不断内化为全体师生员工的自觉行为。

和 谐
"和"是中国哲学的最高理念。"天地运行,和谐为大"。
"德莫大于和"、"礼之用,和为贵"、"万物皆规律,依法乃和谐 "、"阴阳和而万物生"、"致中和,天地位焉,万物育焉"。
"天时、地利、人和"。学校"顺天时,适地利,兴人和","顺、适、兴"是一种和谐,"润物细无声","教育的最高境界是不留痕迹",我们希望自己能够达到这种境界,也是追求一种和谐。我们致力于多方面的优化组合与平衡协调,避免分裂与冲突。我们要避?quot;生活世界"与"书本世界"的分离,动脑与动手的分离,记忆与思维的分离,左脑与右脑的分离,智育与其他各育的分离等。分离的教育容易造成人格的分裂和生命的残缺。因此玉林人在坚守"人本"信念的基础上,既要尊重人的潜能的多样性,也要关怀师生个体发展的内在完整性,力求培养出个性完美、完善的人;其次是优化组合影响师生发展和学校发展的各个要素。包括内部和外部的各个要素,使其和谐互动,促进学校的可持续发展。
和谐教育将民主管理,制度管理,规范管理和谐统一在一起,从满足社会发展需要和师生身心发展需要的统一实现出发,调控教育场中诸教育要素的关系,使教育的节奏符合学生发展的节律,进而?quot;教"与"学"产生谐振效应,琢玉成器,育才成林,促进学生基本素质获得全面和谐充分发展的教育。
和谐教育包含两大方面:
(一)学校内部环境的和谐
1、学校发展与个体发展的和谐
学校中的个体发展包括教师的发展和学生的发展,学校的发展与个体的发展相互依赖、共同发展。
教育学的理想状态是在师生共同生活的学校中教学相长,学生在教师的发展中成长,教师在学生的成长中发展;师生的共同发展带动学校的发展,学校的发展又有助于师生的共同发展。
⑴ 教师持续、有效的发展是学生发展的基础。教师发展学校的最终目的是改进学生的生活和学习,使学生成就最大化,从而提高基础教育质量,如果没有优秀的教师,学生不会获得相应的发展。教师是教育改革、教育发展和教育教学实践的主体和关键,任何先进的教育思想都由教师去贯彻,适当的教育内容由教师去体现,有效的教育方法由教师去实施,现代教育手段由教师去操作。如果教师的发展不到位,教育质量的提高是难以实现的。
⑵ 学生的发展推动教师专业化发展的进程。学生良好的学习习惯有助于教师教学水平的提高,学生良好的行为习惯有助于教学过程的有效实施,学生的良好素质有助于教育、教学研究方案的贯彻、落实,在对优秀的学生群体的教育过程中必然促进优秀的教师群体的形成。
⑶ 学校的发展为教师专业化发展搭设平台。学校的硬件建设是教师专业化发展的物质保证,学校的团体文化氛围,增强了教师持续发展的兴趣、热情和能力,人性化管理为教师专业化发展开辟了道路,学校的品牌形象为教师的专业化发展提供了更多的机会,学校的校风建设为教师的专业化发展创造教育、教学的必要条件。
⑷ 师生的共同发展铸就学校的发展。名校首先是由名师和名学生,以及学生成绩、成就在社会上得到公认而形成的,教师发展过程中形成的一系列教育、教学科研成果构成了学校专业性发展的标志,校风、学风、教风的良性发展铸就了学校在人们心目中的良好形象,名师、名生、好校风、好学风、好教风的形成使学校成为名校,这是学校生源最有力的保障。
2、资源开发,配置优化与规模扩大的和谐
办学规模扩大后,教育资源的开发与优化配置显得尤为重要,它是提高教育教学质量、推动学校发展的根本保证,也是人与学校和谐发展的根本保证。"教育资源"包括学校的硬件条件、"成都市玉林中学"品牌、师资、学校文化、学校管理、与学校发展相关的社会力量等内容。在这里阐述其中最主要的两点,其一是教师的配置与发展;其二是硬件建设。
⑴ 师资队伍建设从数量到质量适应办学规模的需要。学校在教师的来源上,坚持两条腿走路:一方面依托高新区的优惠政策,对教师的人事管理放开,利用优厚的学校环境和条件,从全国各地招聘优秀的教师加盟玉林中学;另一方面是学校制定和实施《教师发展大纲》,系统地培养和发展教师。师资队伍的优化配置。一是教师年龄结构合理,老、中、青结合。二是有一批教育、教学的骨干,作为学校发展的主力。三是有一定数量的教育、教学能力突出的名师,作为学校教育、教学的带头人。四是初、高中教师比例恰当。五是根据各校区的功能,调节各校区的师资结构。
⑵ 在硬件建设方面,一是要有足够的校园面积和体育活动场地。二是要有宽敞的数量足够的教室。三是要有足够的与办学规模相适应的实验设施。四是要有藏书比较丰富、规模比较大、设施先进的图书馆。五是足够的现代教育教学设施和信息技术课专用教室。
3、管理与需要的和谐
管理是手段,通过深化学校内部体制改革,强化内部管理,最大限度地满足需要是目的。学校中的需要主要来自四个方面:一是学校发展的需要;二是学生发展的需要;三是教师发展的需要;四是社会需求。
⑴ 通过强化学校管理达成共同发展的目标。社会发展的需要正呈加速度变革,学生身心发展需要既随社会发展需要变化,又常常滞后于社会发展需要;教师发展也是随社会发展需要变化,又存在教育观念、教学手段、生活质量滞后的矛盾。学校管理必须协调好学校需要、学生需要、教师需要、社会需要四者间的关系,使四者需要建构?quot;目标一致,内容衔接,功能互补,配合密切"的良好教育场。成都市玉林中学制定了《成都市玉林中学学校发展大纲》、《成都市玉林中学教师发展大纲》,随着学校办学规模的扩大、办学效益的提高, 四种需求的发展目标得到较好的统一。
⑵ 通过强化学校管理调节各种需要的优先等级。在办学过程中,各种需求必然产生冲突,就必需通过管理进行调控。其基本的优先等级是:社会需?gt;学生需要>学校需要>教师需要,必须强调指出的是,这里所指的学生和教师都是群体而非个体。首先学校的中心工作是育人,主要对象是学生,因此学生的需要高于学校的需要;其次,从人本的角度来看,社会更具有人的群体特征,学校的育人是通过培养学生来服务于社会的,因此社会的需要高于学生的需要;学校是由学生和教师组成的集体,同时学校还担负着提供办学条件、协调各种需求关系以及对外关系,学生的学习是以学校为中心展开的,因此学校的需要高于教师的需要。
⑶ 通过强化学校的管理使人为了实现需要而共同奋斗。学校的管理工作的深入必需围绕使学校的教育、教学工作顺利开展来制定和实施。学校实施人事制度改革,职能部门确立一套标准的操作程序和规则,努力改善办学条件,提高生存质量,规范教育教学行为,提高工作效率,保护师生员工宝贵的学习、工作、生活精力和时间,防止因庞杂事务而影响教育教学。同时,保持与师生员工高质量的接触和交流,对做出成就及贡献的个人要及时进行奖励。将管理者的意志内化为全校师生员工自觉的教育教学行为,就能确保师生员工和最先进的法规、理论与实践保持同步,并将其整合到学校的教学与文化中去,开发出巨大的潜能,实现真正意义的"最大程度地激发玉林人的主动性和创造性"。
⑷ 通过强化学校的管理使需求在一定程度上得到满足。随着学校办学规模的扩大、"人本"思想的深入贯彻、学校管理在各种需求中的调节作用有效发挥以及资源的合理开发、配置与利用,师生得到最大限度的发展,从而满足师生的需求;通过师生的发展,促进了学校的发展,满足了学校的需求。师生和学校同时发展,也推动了社会的发展,满足了社会的需求。
(二)学校外部环境的和谐
1、学校与社区、家长的和谐
成都市是首批国家级环境保护模范城市,是全国最具经济活力的城市。成都高新技术开发区的人才资源丰富,经济高速发展,正在为"国际知名、全国一流、西部第一"而跨越式发展。成都市玉林中学地处成都高新区,得天独厚,充分挖掘社区资源,充分利用社区资源,与成都与高新区共同发展,实现人与社区的和谐,发挥地域优势十分必要。
⑴ 充分利用环境资源。学校已与32个后援单位建立合作关系。一方面学校解决后援单位职工子女的入学需要,另一方面后援单位大力协助学校的发展。后援单位的职工多数具有较高的学识或技能,家长中具有更多的优质资源,他们对孩子的要求更高,对孩子行为上的关注、关心更多,家长的行为、高新区的社会环境对学生产生的积极影响都更加有益于促进学生的成长和学校的发展。
⑵ 充分利用高新区的人才资源。高新区共有各类人才5万多人,硕士以上学历的人才5000多人,留学人员320人,博士以上学历的700多人。学校与博士达教育开发与研究中心合作,成立了"成都玉林中学博士工作站",现有博士11人,其主要职能是与玉林中学合作办学,开办"玉林中学博士创新实验班",指导学校教师进行教育、教学科研,指导学生奥林匹克竞赛。
⑶ 学校的软、硬件资源向社区开放。成立"成都玉林中学国家青少年体育俱乐?quot;、"成都玉林中学芳草青少年文化艺术培训中心"等,学校的体育场馆、天文馆等定期向社区开放。
另外学校培养的学生升入高一级学校后回到社区,建设社区。
2、学校对外交流合作的和谐
⑴ 加强国际化交流。国际化交流指在教育思想、模式、内容及教材、教师、学生等诸多方面的国际间的交流。国际化交流是未来教育发展的必然趋势,既是贯彻教育"三个面向"的需要,也是实现学校自身"教育创新"的需要。成都玉林中学地处大专院校、科研单位、高新产业集中的地带,与高新区博士创业园相邻,东接美领馆等国际友人居住的地方,得天独厚的地理位置,为玉林中学走"国际化交流"之路奠定了基础。近几年来,成都玉林中学与加拿大多伦多大学、澳大利亚哥伦比亚学院、四川省对外交流中心、四川大学外语学院、四川师大出国培养基地等签定协议,每年向国外输送合格的人才。近几年在世界各大学深造的原玉林中学学生已有近3000多人。成都玉林中学还与美国富兰克林中学等建立了姊妹学校关系,同时学校选派老师到国外考察、进修11人次。
⑵与高校的交流与合作。与高校合作,主要是利用高校资源,推进教师的专业化发展,其最终目的是改进学生的生活和学习方式,从而提高教育、教学质量。近年来学校与四川大学、成都体育学院、高新区博士创业园、四川师范大学等都建立了合作、伙伴关系。
⑶与兄弟学校建立友好关系。成都玉林中学先后与20多所学校建立了友好关系,相互学习,共促发展。
⑷ 学校与冠军俱乐部、多元文化艺术培训中心等培训机构建立了工作联系,促进了玉林中学的多元发展。

结 语
在"人本·和谐"这一办学思想的引领下,成都玉林中学已建构了系统的发展理念:
(1)办学目标:将玉林中学办成在"人本·和谐"的办学思想引领下,面向世界,并与国际接轨的师生互动发展的学校。
(2)办学宗旨:服务于社会,服务于学生。

The "Yulin" in the name of Chengdu Yulin High School contains the cultural connotation of "Cutting and polishing jade into article and cultivating tree into woods". Cutting and polishing means carving the jade into article.
"Cutting and polishing jade into article" must carve the jade into article. To realize the pursue of "cutting and polishing jade into article" should respect jade, regard jade as the base and fully bring the jade's hidden nature into play. Facing the living lives of teachers and students, we choose the "Humanism".
The "Humanism" in the heart of Yulin people is the harmonious development between teachers with students. Disharmony cannot cut and polish jade into article and cultivate tree into woods. Just having harmony, the single tree can be cultivated into woods and forests. For the purpose of "cutting and polishing jade into article and cultivating tree into woods", we choose the "Harmony".
The core of school-running idea of "Humanism·Harmony" is respect people, understand people, concern people and cultivate people, stressing it should follow scientific developmental rule, educational and teaching rules, insist on scientific and harmonious school-running and the harmony of education and teaching.
"Humanism" is the precondition and foundation, stressing that human's development is the highest value tropism. "Harmony" is the condition and process as well as a kind of cultural obligation and direction on the basic of laws and systems. "Peace" is the highest ambit in Chinese philosophy. "Heaven and earth are running, harmony is the most important", "all the things are having their rules and harmony is abided by the laws".
The running ideas of "Humanism·Harmony" stresses the inheritance, reality and prospective characteristics. She is the crystal of past successful experiences of Chengdu Yulin High School. She is the basic start of today's idea as well as the pivot and lever for her future development.

Humanism
The conception of human being is the idea of the people in social relationship.
Put human above everything else and a solid country can be exepected on reasonable foundation" (Guan Zi), "Kind people love people" (Confucius), "People are the precious" (Mencius), "Combining heaven and people into one" (Lao zi)…the humanism spirits of ancient oracles are familiar to us.
"People is the total of all social relationships", "The base of people is people themselves", "People's freedom, wholly development"…Marxism has made the essential boundary and powerful explanation for them, which shows its important realistic meaning and deep historic meaning.
Humanism is the basic start of social development. Developing society should respect human, understand human, concern human, stressing and affirming the human's value and function, corresponding development between human and nature, human and society and satisfying human's reasonable requirements as well as promoting human's overall development.
Humanism education stresses the status and function of human during the development of school from humans' developmental rules. It should regard satisfying humans' reasonable requirements and promoting humans' wholly development as the start of developing school.
Humanism education is the "humanism" spirit in educational processes firstly. That is, teachers should regard students as the lives, which can voluntarily create dynamic existents with potential and individuality. It should acclimate the natural growth and development of students during the educational and teaching practice, respecting the rules for developing students' body and mind, educating human on the basic of human's mode, understanding students on the basic of student's mode and educating students on the basic of student's mode. Returning all that belong to students to them. Secondly, with the "humanism" spirit in managing school, on the basis of obeying rules and regulations, it should follow the rules of teachers' growth and cultivation, respecting their feelings and experiences in work, approaching into teachers' hearts and satisfying their reasonable requirements as well as activating the interior power for their self-development and voluntary creation to deep level.
I. Three Aspects of School Humanism Education
1. Practice
Developing all the activities of teachers and students according to the humanistic survival essence, development essence, freedom essence and humans' free and wholly development. Using the modern educational theory and high and new technologies to realize human's development on the basis of satisfying people's basic survival requirements and the correspondence and unification between human with nature and human with society. Making the survival and educational and teaching activities of teachers and students to be the free and self-conscious activities starting from the deep bottom of humanism, which can realize the promotion of correspondence and unification of humanism.
2. Mentality and Culture
School will infiltrate the science, philosophy, art and other spirits and theories into the whole educational and teaching processes, which can help teachers and students to gain existing configuration and rich contents of humanism, and change the managing cultures, such as systematic culture, cooperating culture, responsible and credit culture, sole oriented culture, and humanism culture into "good behaviours and customs, strong sense of social morality, dense patriotism, decent decorum"…and form the healthy personalities of teachers and students.
3. Development
School should bring the whole and realistic consciousness and practice capabilities of teachers and students being the natural corporality, social history character and spirit consciousness. It should discover the functions of humans' social history character and spirit consciousness, realize and show the self-complete, rich and free consciousness and realize the interior harmony and sublimation of humanism. "Being a civilized Yulin people, being a all-round Yulin people and being a innovative Yulin people".
Human is the centre of education as well as the centre of school development. "It takes ten years to grow a tree and a hundred years to bring up a generation of good men", "Bringing up a generation of good men" is bringing up students, teachers and managers. Promoting the development of students is the basic responsibility of schooling. While, the students' development should depend on a group of steady, high-level and continuous progressive teachers and educational managers.
II. Four Contents of Humanism Education
1. Respecting Human
Respecting human is the basic character of civilized people in society ruled by law. Multiple respects can only create harmonious atmosphere and form the most powerful resultant forces. Respecting human, herein, including the multiple respects between students and students, between teachers and students, between teachers and teachers, between parent and teachers, between managers and teachers, students and parent, between schools and communities, etc.
2. Understanding Human
Understanding human, on the basis of multi-respect, is to understand and concern human's mentality and behavior. Understanding human is the precondition of concerning human and cultivating human. Doing understanding human's mentality and behavior really can only concern human and cultivate human, including teachers understanding students, impersonally grasping the rules of students' physiology, mentality and knowledge, following the rules and strengthening the validity of education and teaching. Following the developmental rules of teachers and students for their bodies and minds is to familiar with the characteristics of bodies and minds of teachers and students in different ages and times, to understand the difference of the bodies and minds of teachers and students in the same stage and promote the wholly harmonious, free, sufficient and successive development of teachers and students relying on scientific view of development. It should pay attention to the new changes happening in the development of times on the bodies and in the minds of teachers and students. On the basis of understanding the social requirement, grasping the talent's development rules, following the talent's requirement rules and adjusting the educational and teaching strategy, with multiple, individual, group style development, our school will be the paradise of students for their growth and development, exercising their wings, flying to blue sky and stepping into the practice flat for future positions. School will try her best to satisfy the reasonable requirements of teachers in the aspects of work and professional life.
3. Concerning Human
It indicates that concern other person, stress and love people. Concerning human has remarkable go-aheadism, which is the behavior embodiment from the heart of people on the basis of understanding human, including conformity of educational resources and improvement of school-running condition. It should concern the growth of students, solve their questions and difficulties in study and life, inspire their interior power, follow the developmental rules for their aptitude, grasp the stages and levels of capability development, research and construct the harmonious strategy of knowledge and capability, pay attention to the conformity of factors during students' developmental period, teach students in accordance of their aptitude, improve with the times, make the scientific and reasonable educational and teaching proposal and strengthen the actual effect during the period of education and teaching. For the teachers with different interests, strong suits and professions, school should have scientific criterion, democratic concession ,understanding and suitable guarantee for working and living conditions. 4. Developing Human
Development is the absolute principle. Jade becoming article is development and tree becoming woods is also development. The running ideas of "Humanism·Harmony" is to promote the scientific development of teachers and students as well as school. The development mainly includes five aspects: (1) Strive to promote teachers' and students' wholly developmental probability or potential; (2) Strive to promote teachers' and students' conformity and harmonious development; (3) Strive to promote teachers' and students' development freely with the developmental condition offered by realistic society; (4) Strive to promote teachers' and students' whole development with the space and condition offered by society; (5) Strive to promote teachers' and students' open and continuous development in future.
Developing human is composed of the development in four aspects: student development, teacher development, manager development and school development.
Student Development
Student development refers that school rules the civil behaviors of students."They shoule be polite to people and be formal to themselves. They should be diligent in study, stress social morality and be fealty among their families" on the basis of regarding the school-running tenet of "serving society, serving students" and the cultivating aim of "having high ambition, comprehensive diathesis, solid foundation and obvious forte". School is stressing the five unifications during the cultivating process: unification of moral quality and study quality, unification of knowledge and capability, unification of body health and mentality health, unification of intelligence factors and non-intelligence factors and unification of wholly promotion and conspicuous individuality. We regard students' development as the focus of our attention.
Yulin High School has presently been developed into today's "Yulin Group" from an affiliated school subordinate to the district for 16 years. It has cultivated batches of qualified graduates and lots of excellent talents. For instance, Wang Xingxing as a deaf-and-dumb student won the second prize of Award Competition for solicitation of academic scientific stories articles in Sichuan province and the third prize of English Competition in Chengdu when going to junior high school. He was admitted to Electronic Science & Technology University after graduation of high school, and he is studying in U.S.A now. On national special education seminar, the specialists expounded a famous argument about "obtaining better effect if the disables and normal persons studied together" with his example. Zhai Jian, obtained No.1 Scholar of Science in Sichuan province in 1998; Zhang Jing was admitted to Bioengineering Department of Sichuan University in 2000 when he was 14 years old, and he studied in British Nottingham University as a Doctor when he was 18 years old. Gu Junjie, became a star of 2008 Olympic; Zhou Yi, as a key member of national female softball team, runner-up of world tournament and 3rd prize winner of provincial government as well as a star of 2008 Olympic; Tian Li, as one of national top 10 outstanding police officers; Guo Jie, was admitted to Peking University in 2004; Li Chaoran, as a star of arts, won provincial & municipal level championships and national awards of ada's dance and folk dance; Zhao Zheng, as a star of handwritings and one of top 10 talents in Chengdu city. The female softball team had ever continued to achieve the championship in Sichuan province for eight times, and became a championship of the fourth national urban games; Women's shooting team, won the first place of provincial 10m air rifle with total scores; aerobics dance team, won the first prize and second prize of national competition; taekwondo team, won the first prize of provincial and municipal competitions, five gold medals and three silver medals and seven copper medals. It has cultivated Xu Huaiwen as a member of German Badminton Team and 8 provincial-level professional team members.
Teacher Development
The Teacher development mainly refers to professional development of teacher, including cultivation of teacher's morals, professional skills, course development, application of modern education technique, and so on.
The school takes "integrating educational resources, having a foothold in developing in the school, paying attention to humanism development and arousing enthusiasm and creativity of Yulin people at a large extent" as a concept of running a school, and regards "hard working, sedulous contribution, scientific preciseness and jointly creating the first class" as the spirit of Yulin High School. During the development of Chengdu Yulin High School for 16 years, the number of on-job teachers varies from 35 persons to 492 persons and the teachers team has rapidly strengthened. The school gathered the teachers from all parts of China, who came from famous universities for one-hundred years and thousand years. They formed the advantage of multiple intelligent combinations, multiple cultural combination and multiple management strategies combinations during the course of permeation, sublimation and refinement. In addition, the school also organized teachers to take part in studying in training class such as Beijing Normal University and Southwest Normal University continuously. Among which there are 202 persons who have already wound up their studies. Now there are 11 doctors and 7 masters in the school.
The school has laid down the Outline of Teachers' Development, established working process, strengthened teachers' training, carried out guidance system of teachers, granted book-purchasing card to teachers and staff, established reporting system on teaching inspection and study of teachers, set up an expert studio and launched activities such as "academic saloon" and "Growth day of Young teachers" as well as "Month of education science". It brings meaning and force of consciousness inspiration about combination and accumulation of Yulin culture, reaches common understanding of "teacher's personality as a foundation of education", creates teacher's spirit, advocates teacher's moral, gives full play to the strongpoint of teachers, establishes a team of teachers with "setting up three hearts (namely enterprising, responsibility and service awareness" and "strengthening three forces (namely unity force, execution force and creative force), and also cultivates a large batch of excellent teachers such as 3 teachers of special grade, 2 reserved persons of teachers of special grade, 2 national excellent teachers, 4 excellent teachers in provincial-level, 44 academic leaders in municipal and regional level, 11 pacemakers in teacher's morality, 5 outstanding schoolmasters, 19 excellent young teachers and 11 excellent teachers in city-level, 65 persons with obtaining other honors & titles. These teachers such as Li Juan, Gu Xinyu, Zhou Xuanlu, Zhou Mei, Luo Ya, etc. have obtained national-level special prize, 1st and 2nd prizes and provincial & municipal level 1st prizes in teacher's teaching competition. There are 26 subjects and 5 finished subjects, 5 national subjects, 2 provincial-level subjects, 5 municipal-level subjects and 14 district-level subjects.
Executive Management
The executive management means that the executives intensify their studies and continuously improve their own accomplishment and improve policy theory level and management service capacity and seeks for truth and originality in order to adapt to the requirements of modern education.
The leadership of school has reached common understanding: it is required to intensify studies, continuously improve their own accomplishment in order to adapt to the requirements of modern education. Read such books as "Leadership" and "Executive force", and take part in training classes and further study class of schoolmasters conducted by education department, Sichuan province, Chengdu city, and seven cities in China. Thus they can improve policy theory level and management service capacity. There are about 7 school-level cadres and middle-level cadres who went to occident developed countries and inspect the development of education successively. At the same time several schoolmasters, secretaries and middle-level cadres are chosen as municipal and district level excellent schoolmasters, excellent party affairs workers, excellent Commies, science advocators and reserved persons for teachers of special grade and national excellent teachers, etc.

For recent two years, the school sends cadres to go out for studying for several times. In 1988, Chengdu Yulin High School was established in a paddy field of Yulin District and provided with one school in one district;
In 1998, Chengdu Yulin High School "sought the development by jumping out of fence", and set up a senior high school branch with one school in two districts in Fangcao Campus. The achievements that teachers and students created frequently made people focus attention up on it.
In 1999, Chengdu Yulin High School was incorporated into high-tech development zone;
In 2000, Chengdu Yulin High School was named as Key High School of Sichuan Province.
In 2001, Chengdu Yulin High School had passed ISO international quality management system successfully.
In 2002, Chengdu Yulin High School was named as model common senior high school.
In 2003, Chengdu Yulin High School established western district in Xiao Jia He and put it into operation. One school has three zones and five points. It had been chosen as Sichuan Modern Education Technical Model School, Sichuan Experimental Teaching Model School, Chengdu Green School and Sichuan Traditional Sports Advanced School in succession.
In 2004, the party committee and management committee of high-tech district decided to incorporate the school with four districts and six points. There are about 9000 students in the school which covers the area of 215 mu and has over 90,000 square meters of building areas.

Harmony
"Harmony" is the highest ideas of Chinese philosophy. "Heaven and earth are running, harmony is the most important".
"Moral is not important than harmony", "Gift lies in usage, its value lies in harmony", "Everything has its law and is in harmony according to the law", "Everything generates with harmony of Yin and Yang", "Haven and earth may remain at their proper position and everything grows" .
"Heaven, Earth, Human". The school takes "adaptable to heaven, earth and prosperous for human" and "being adaptable and prosperous" as its harmony; "moist things on earth in silence", "the highest ideas of education doesn't leave any track". We hope that we can reach such realm and pursue for this harmony. We also dedicate to make multiple optimized combination and balancing coordination in order to avoid the division and conflict. Moreover, we prevent from the separation of "life world" and "book world", separation of "brainwork" and "manual work", separation of memory and thought, separation of left brain and right brain and separation of intellectual education and other educations, etc. The split personality and incomplete life are caused by separated education easily. Therefore, on the basis of taking "humanism" faith, Yulin People not only value diversification of human being's potential and but also pay attention to inner completeness of individual development of teachers and students to strive for cultivating the persons who have perfect and complete individuality. The harmonious education makes combinations with democratic management, systematic management and normative management to meet the demands of social development and body & mind development of teachers and students. Proceeding from the above, regulate and control the relationships of various education factors in education industry and make education rhyme conform to the rhythm of student's development so as to make "teaching" and "studying" have resonance effect. Harmonious education includes the following two major aspects:
I. Harmony of inner environment in school
1. Harmony of school's development and individual development
The individual developments in the school include teacher's development and student's development; the school's development and individual development are interdependent and mutual.
The ideal status of education science means mutual development of teaching and studying in the school where teachers and students get together. The students grow up among the development of teachers, and the teachers develop with the growth of students; the mutual development of teachers and students brings about the development of school, which is helpful to mutual development of teachers and students.
(1) The sustainable and effective development of teachers is the basis of student's development. The final aim of teachers-based development of school is to improve student's living and study and make students achieve the greatest success so that it improves basic education quality. Without excellent teachers, the students can't make the corresponding development. The teachers are as main body and key factor of education reform, development and teaching practice. 2. Harmony among resources development, configuration Optimization and Extended Scope

After expanding school's size, development of educational resources and configuration optimization seem important especially. It's the fundamental guarantee for improving educational and teaching quality and promoting school development as well as the harmonious development between human and school. Educational recourses include school facilities, the brand of Chengdu Yulin High School, teachers, school culture, school management and social resources related to school development, etc. Herein, two most important points are emphasized, one is teacher's arrangements and developments and the other is the school facilities.

For the optimized arrangement of teachers, firstly, reasonable age construction of teachers, combining old, middle-aged and young teachers. Secondly, having a group of leading teachers for education and teaching. Thirdly, having some famous teachers to be the leaders of education and teaching, who has qualified with outstanding abilities for education and teaching. Fourthly, having suitable proportion of teachers for junior high school and senior high school. Last, adjusting the teacher's structure in school sections for their functions.
(2) For school facility construction, five aspects are considered. First, having sufficient school areas and physical training fields. Second, having spacious and sufficient classrooms. Third, having enough experimental equipments suitable for the school-running scope. Fourth, having abundant books and large library with modern facilities. Fifth, having enough modern educational and teaching facilities and special classroom for information technology class.
3. Harmony between management and requirement.
Management is the measure. Through deepening the interior systemic reform and strengthening interior management of our school, the purpose is to satisfy requirements at the most extent. The requirements of our school come from four aspects: requirement for school development, requirement for student development, requirement for teacher development and requirement for society development.

The basic priority-ranked requirement is: society requirement> students requirement> school requirement > teacher requirement. It should be emphasized that the students and teachers mentioned above refer to group instead of individual.
Firstly, the central task of school is cultivating people and students are the main educating objects. So, students' requirement is superior to school requirement. Secondly, seen from humanism, society has the group character of human. School serves society through cultivating students, thus, society requirement is superior to students requirement. School is the collectivity of teachers and students with the functions of providing school-running condition, corresponding the relationships among different requirements. The study of students is centered with school, so school requirement is superior to teacher requirement.
⑶It enables people to strive for satisfying their needs by strengthening the management of school. The management work of school shall be formulated, implemented and deepened on the basis of successful implementation of education and teaching works in the school. The school carries out personnel system reforms, and the functional departments set up series of standard operating procedures and rules. (4)The requirements are satisfied through strengthening school management at a certain extent. With the expanding of school size, implementing of humanism ideology, the efficiency of school management in adjusting all requirements and reasonable development, configuration and usage of resources, the requirements of teachers and students have been satisfied greatly. It promotes the school development and satisfies the school requirement through teachers' and students' development, as well as promotes social development and satisfies social requirement.
II Harmony of School's External Environment
1. Harmony between School and Community and Parents
Chengdu is listed in the first batch of state-class model cities on environmental protection and is the city with most vigorous in economic development. Chengdu High-Tech Development Zone has rich talent resources and its economy is developing in high speed, whose aim is to be " Famous in World, Top-Ranking in Country and Best in West". Chengdu Yulin High School is located in Chengdu High-Tech Zone with advantaged resources. In order to discover and use resources sufficiently, develop with Chengdu and Chengdu High-Tech Zone and realize the harmony between human and community, it is necessary to bring local advantages into play.
(1) Using environment resources efficiently. Our school has cooperated with 32 reinforcement institutes. Our school solves children's enrollment requirements of reinforcement institutes and the reinforcement institutes help our school development greatly. Because the staffs of reinforcement institutes have higher knowledge and skills and the parents have more superior qualifications, they have higher requirement for their children as well as more concerns for children's behaviors. The positive effect of parent's behaviors and social environment of High-tech Zone help to promote the growth of students and development of school.
⑵ Taking full advantage of high-tech talents resources. There are more than 50,000 talents in high-tech zone, including more than 5,000 masters, 320 returned persons from abroad and more than 700 doctors. Our school has cooperated with Bosstar Education Development and Research Center and founded "Doctor Workstation of Chengdu Yulin High School", which has 11 doctors working there and whose main function is to cooperate with Yulin High School, open "Doctor Creative Experimental Class of Yulin High School" to direct teachers on educational and teaching research as well as direct students on Olympic Competition.
⑶ Opening the software and facility resources to the outside. We have founded "National Teenager Gymnasium Club of Chengdu Yulin High School", "Fangcao Teenager Cultural Art Training Center of Chengdu Yulin High School", etc. Our gymnasium and planetarium has been opened to community termly. Furthermore, our cultivated students return to community and construct community after entering a higher school. 2. Harmony of Communication & Cooperation
(1) Strengthening the international communication. The international communications refer to extensive communications, including teaching ideology, teaching pattern, teaching contents, teaching material, teachers and students, etc. International communication is inevitable trend of teaching development in future. It's necessary for fulfilling the policy of Three Facing and also for achieving the Education Innovation of our school. Chengdu Yulin High School is located in the section of centralizing colleges, universities, scientific research institutes and High-Tech industry, near to Doctor's High-Tech Business Incubator and the habitation areas of international friends, such as United States Consulate. The advantageous location of Chengdu Yulin High School sets a solid foundation for its development direction of "International Communication". In recent years, Chengdu Yulin High School has signed agreements with Canada Toronto University, Columbia College of Australia, Sichuan External Communication Center, College of Foreign Languages of Sichuan University and Overseas Training Base of Sichuan Normal University and fed qualified students to foreign countries, near 3000 students studying abroad in recent years. Chengdu Yulin High School has established sister-school relationship with Frankin High School in United States and sent eleven teachers to foreign countries for review and advanced study.
(2) Communication & Cooperation with Colleges. Cooperating with colleges is that using college resources to promote teacher's specialization development. The purpose is to perfect student's loving and study style and improve educational and teaching quality. Our school has cooperated with Sichuan University, Chengdu Physical College, Doctor's High-Tech Business Incubator and Sichuan Normal University in resent years.
(3) Establishing good relationship with brotherhood schools. Chengdu Yulin High School has established good relationship with more than 20 schools in order to learn and develop together with each other.
(4) Our school has established work relationships with training organizations, such as the Champion-Club, Multi-culture Art Training Center, which promotes the multi-development of Chengdu Yulin High School.

Chengdu Yulin High School is the first pilot school carrying out comprehensive reform and experiment in Sichuan province, and becomes one of the leap-forward developed schools during the process of education system reform in China, which has achieved rapid development. She creates a miracle of Yu Lin for "rapid accumulation of resources, and effective publicity of brand". Her success benefits from scientific developmental ideology and continuous enrichment & development of running ideas with "Humanism ● Harmony".
During the future five-year developmental blueprint, Chengdu Yulin High School will focus on two cores (including innovation capacity and practice capacity) and accomplish three breakthroughs (wholly improving student's accomplishment and promote team construction as well as improving scientific management level) under the leadership of running ideas with "Humanism ● Harmony" in order to attain an aim (namely aim for school-running).
